What specific courses are part of The Flag membership?
The Flag will initially have twelve courses in six locations. These courses are currently under development and will open in 2022. Following these initial launches, the Flag plans to expand to additional North American and international locations. Annual dues for members will not increase due to the addition of new courses. The Flag team will disclose specific courses to prospective members as information becomes available. Where are the six initial locations of The Flag?
Central Florida, Southern Florida, Arizona, North Carolina, Nevada, and Ontario, Canada.
What are planned future locations of The Flag?
The Flag plans to expand to additional destinations in North America and internationally, adding locations in the Caribbean, Scotland, Ireland, and Canada, followed by locations in Western Europe and Asia. Annual dues for members will not increase as courses and locations are added.
How many courses will there be at each location, and will these courses be newly developed or acquired?
The Central Florida location will have three newly developed courses. Southern Florida will have one redeveloped and one newly developed course. North Carolina will have two redeveloped courses. Arizona will have one redeveloped course and one newly developed course. Nevada will have one redeveloped course. Ontario, Canda will have two courses, one of which will be a newly developed course.
CONCEPT AND PRICING INFORMATION
When will The Flag open?
Initial courses and locations open early 2022.
Will The Flag offer public play at any of the courses?
No. The Flag is a fully private golf membership. All courses are available only to members and their guests.
Is The Flag part of an access or reciprocal play program?
No. The Flag owns and operates all courses and locations. Courses are only available to members and their guests.
What is the initiation fee?
The Flag has no initiation fee.
What are the monthly food and beverage minimum spend requirements?
The Flag has no food and beverage minimum spend requirements.
What is included in the annual dues?
Full membership at all locations including unlimited play for all members, guest access for guest fees, personalized concierge service, access to lodging, amenities and dining for reasonable additional fees (varying by location).
How many members will there be?
The Flag will have a limited number of members. Membership totals will be based on number of locations and play to ensure ease of member access and expeditious pace of play.
Are corporate memberships available?
Yes. A limited number of corporate memberships will be available based on access and play. Please contact us at [email protected] for all corporate membership inquiries.
What will be the pace of play?
Expeditious play is expected, with average finish times of four hours or less. The Flag Social Contract requires that slower groups allow faster groups to play through, ensuring that all members enjoy themselves without infringing on the enjoyment of others.
Are caddies available?
Yes, caddies will be available at all locations and courses. Players are encouraged to walk to maximize the course experience.
Can members bring guests?
Yes. Members are encouraged to bring guests. The Flag was designed to facilitate the ultimate golf experience for members and their guests.
Are there any guest restrictions?
The Flag’s goal is to create the best possible experience for members and their guests. Members are encouraged to bring guests as often as they’d like. Guest play is only limited by access requirements for other members and guests. The Flag concierge will work to accommodate all requests that do not infringe on the enjoyment of others.
What are the guest fees?
Guest greens fees will be reasonable (varying based on course and location), and are expected to average around $200 per day.
How far in advance can members book tee times?
There are no initial restrictions to the booking window for members and guests. Once all memberships have been sold, early booking privileges will first go to members and guests staying in The Flag’s onsite luxury cabins.
I already have a club membership, why would I join The Flag?
As a complement to your current club memberships and golf travel, The Flag seeks to deliver the best possible experience for members and their guests at multiple diverse destinations with unique course styles.
I go on golf trips with guests all the time, how is The Flag different?
As a private membership, every experience at The Flag will feel like your home club. The concierge handles all of the details to create a seamless travel golf experience, hosting you while you host your guests.

What services does The Flag concierge offer?
The Flag’s goal is to create the best possible experience for members and their guests. The concierge will work to accommodate all requests that do not infringe on the enjoyment of others. These services include, but are not limited to: customized travel planning, club shipment, lodging arrangements, tee time scheduling, event coordination, dining coordination and personalized requests.
LODGING, AMENITIES AND PRACTICE FACILITIES INFORMATION
What are The Flag lodging prices?
Lodging prices will be reasonable (varying based on location), and are expected to average around $250 per person, per night.
What are the lodging options at The Flag locations?
Each location is planned to have new or renovated cabins available on property for a reasonable price (varying based on location) designed for golf foursomes or couples. They will feature beautifully appointed central great rooms, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens, and bedrooms and bathrooms for each member of your group.
Are members required to stay at The Flag lodging?
No. Once all memberships have been sold, early booking privileges will first go to members and guests staying in The Flag’s onsite luxury cabins.
What dining options are available at each location?
Multiple dining options will be available at each location including a fine dining restaurant, bar and grill, in room dining, and halfway house.
What other amenities are available at The Flag locations?
All locations of The Flag will have a health club, spa, pool, tennis facility, and recreation center. Each location will have additional activities and amenities unique to the locale, including but not limited to: sporting clays, fishing, boating, hiking and walking trails, horseback riding, and cultural tours.
What type of practice and instruction facilities will be available at The Flag?
Each location of The Flag will have signature practice and instruction areas rivaling the best facilities in the world. These will include: driving range, practice putting greens, practice chipping areas, separate putting course, indoor/ outdoor training facilities, and world-class instruction available.
COURSE DESIGN INFORMATION
What is Jack Nicklaus’ role in The Flag?
Jack Nicklaus is a founding partner in The Flag. He will personally design some of The Flag courses, and oversees The Flag Design Philosophy. To ensure consistency, quality, and implementation of The Flag Design Philosophy, he will work with other renowned, industry-leading course designers to oversee the design and renovation of all other courses.
What is the Nicklaus Design role in The Flag?
In order to ensure consistency and quality of course construction, Nicklaus Design will oversee the construction of all golf courses.
What is The Flag's Design Philosophy?
The Flag celebrates the game with every detail of its design. It’s golf as it was intended to be played; challenging yet rewarding. Each course features unique and creative design elements with the purpose of providing golfers with multiple options. Diverse geography and varied course styles: links, parkland, savannah, and desert share common design elements that reward a golfer’s creativity and bravery.
